We would like to thank Tim from Pro Flat and Jo from Arco who took time out of their busy schedules to visit the Centurion head office today. The visit was arranged for Tim to collect his golden helmet award, a personalised Nexus Heightmaster, have a factory tour and tell his story of his Centurion helmet protecting him from serious injury to over 100 Centurion employees.

The Centurion golden helmet award was created to celebrate situations where Centurion helmets have helped protect workers shaping our world, and recognise individuals have avoided serious injury by wearing their Centurion helmet.

The Golden helmet award celebrate the performance, quality and processes in place that ensure Centurion products deliver high quality performance in challenging real-life situations time after time. This also reinforces our premium brand story focusing on the BSI Kitemark, EN & ANSI standards and quality assurance testing procedures.

Tim Laycock from Pro Flat is extremely grateful for the protection his Centurion Reflex provided after a scaffold fitting weight over a kilo fell from 40 feet up and struck the top of his safety helmet. The force of the impact punctured the helmet and was so great that the helmet compressed onto his head.

Commenting on the incident Tim says, “The Centurion helmet undoubtedly saved my life and I have kept the helmet as an example to show any young lads on site who think it’s uncool to wear one and the exact reason why they should.”
